Welcome to the Victoria Veterinary clinics website. This practice was established in 1992 by Dr Ken Thorley, an Australian vet who has made Hong Kong his home. Our clinics at Yuen Long, Tuen Mun and Sheung Shui have been providing professional veterinary services to the pets living in the New Territories ever since. Dr Gerry Pahl, who manages the Tuen Mun branch, joined the practice in 1997, and became a partner in 2004.
Our team includes a surgeon, ER staff, vets with post-graduate training in canine and feline practice, dentistry, and extensive facilities: we are very well equipped with digital radiography, diagnostic ultrasound with doppler, ventilator, Cardell multi-parameter monitor, Nellcor pulse oximetry, Parks BP Doppler, Panoptic, Tonopen, IDEXX VetTest Chemistry Analyser, LaserCyte Haematology Analyser,VetStat Electrolyte and Blood Gas Analyser, VetLyte Electrolyte Analyser, Coag Dx Analyser, piped oxygen cages, infusion pumps, iM3 Dental machines, digital and dental radiography, electrosurgical unit, flexible fibreoptic scopes (bronchoscope, gastroduodenoscope, video-otoscopes), full orthopedic and spinal equipment, and full practice computerisation. We have a visiting ophthalmologist. We are fully stocked with a wide range of the latest drugs. Over 19 years we have developed a reputation for high-quality medicine and complex surgery. Several of our staff have college memberships or post-graduate degrees in medicine & surgery and we place a high emphasis on continuing education for our staff. We have a highly motivated and dynamic team of post-graduate trained vets and qualified nurses. Our staff are very friendly and our administration is efficient.
We are a designated extra-mural training facility for students from the University of Melbourne.
The opening of our 24 Hour Emergency Hospital in 2007 has enabled Victoria to provide critical care to pets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This emergency hospital, based in Yuen Long, is the first of its kind in the New Territories.
